Requirements
- Graduate from a formal pharmacy technician program
- Certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
- Minimum 1 year experience as a pharmacy technician within the past three years
Responsibilities
- Perform pharmaceutical dispensing duties including filling new outpatient prescriptions, refilling prescriptions, and entering orders into databases.
- Provide new and refill prescriptions, support patient requests, support physician’s requests, monitor for drug interactions, and report adverse drug reactions.
- Perform quality improvement duties including performing drug storage inspection, reviewing expired supplies, and producing error and workload reports and documentation.
- Placing new orders, stock shelves, and provide inventory maintenance
