Requirements

• Must pass Pharmacy Technician training entrance exam.
• Pharmacy Technician License (California)
• Requires standing for long periods of time and lifting 50 lbs. and frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.
• Ability to read, understand, and transcribe pharmaceutical information.
• Working knowledge of current drug forms, dosage strengths, and generic and trade names equivalents.
• Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations regarding the provision of pharmaceutical services.
• Ability to learn and operate pharmacy computer system and other equipment.
• Ability to type prescription labels.
