This Outpatient Pharmacist role, based at Twinsburg Family Health Center with floating responsibilities across Main Campus, East, West, and Southside, offers the opportunity to be part of a highly collaborative and supportive pharmacy team. The caregiver will work alongside Pharmacy Technicians, Pharmacists, and clinical partners to provide medication verification, prescription filling, patient counseling, vaccinations, and customer service. Caregivers in this role value the strong team culture, variety of practice settings, and shared commitment to patient-centered care. This is a PRN position with flexible scheduling. A caregiver in this role will work a minimum of two shifts per month, though the ideal candidate will be available for approximately 2–3 shifts per week. Shifts may start as early as 7:00am or end as late as 8:00pm, with optional weekend opportunities. No weekend or holiday requirements.

Requirements

  • PharmD or Bachelor’s of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible in current state within 90 days of hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross and completion of a Board of Pharmacy approved course in the administration of immunizations within 90 days of hire for those administering immunizations

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a Post-Graduate Year 1 Residency (PGY1), fellowship or relevant post-graduate pharmacy experience
  • Board Certification
  • Prior outpatient pharmacist experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide pharmacy services and ensure the appropriate selection, dosing, administration and dispensing of medication orders.
  • Provide safe, efficient, patient-centered, evidence-based medication services.
  • Verify medication orders and/or dispense medications accurately according to state and federal regulations.
  • Contribute to medication safety initiatives.
  • Document services in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
  • Ensure all pharmacy operations comply with national accreditation standards.
  • Maintain professional interactions with patients to facilitate successful patient experiences.
  • Educate and train students, residents, other caregivers, and/or patients.
  • Be accountable for drug use policy adherence.
