About The Position

A community hospital located a few hours north of San Antonio, TX is seeking a full-time, permanent Occupational Therapist to join their team! Open to New graduates – training provided Starting Pay: $41.00 / hour + $5,000 Retention Bonus Experience factors into the pay scale Outpatient Occupational Therapist Opportunity: Full-time, direct hire opportunity Day Shift Schedule: (5) 8-hour shifts or (4) 10-hour shifts Setting: Outpatient clinic Great therapy leadership and administration team Student Loan Assistance of $40,000

Requirements

Must be a graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
Must have an active TX OT License, or the ability to obtain
No experience required - Training provided

Nice To Haves

Certified Lymphedema Therapist, Neurology, or Pelvic Health specialist preferred

Responsibilities

The Outpatient Occupational Therapist will review the Physician's referral (prescription) and the patient's condition and medical records to determine the physical therapy treatment required
Instructs, motivates, and assists patients to perform various physical activities and in the use of assistive and supportive devices such as crutches, canes, and prostheses
Outpatient Occupational Therapist records treatment, response, and progress in the patient's chart or enters information into the computer
Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
