The Occupational Therapist will: Demonstrate essential skill competencies in the delivery of patient care in an in-patient or out-patient setting, adhering to departmental policies and procedures. Use effective communications skills to facilitate exchange of ideas for quality patient care with patient/family, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors, and outside community contacts. Be open to feedback and receptive to change as evidenced by feedback. Complete all necessary tasks and responsibilities that support daily operation of the department. Maintain competency by participating in professional growth and development and internal/external educational activities. Act in accordance with the Standards of Conduct and Ethical Practice of AOTA, the Vermont Practice Act, and hospital and department policies.
