About The Position

This position will work in our Clinton, Iowa location. Bethany for Children & Families is looking for multiple passionate, caring, and motivated Outpatient Mental Health Therapists to join our team at Bridgeview Community Mental Health Center in Clinton, Iowa. Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to operate agency vehicles.
  • Acceptable auto insurance coverage.
  • Master’s degree in a mental health field (psychology, counseling, psychiatric nursing, social work, etc.) for Therapist I.
  • Current, unrestricted initial license (tLMHC, LMSW, LPC, LSW) in Iowa or Illinois for Therapist I.
  • Master’s degree in a mental health field (psychology, counseling, psychiatric nursing, social work, etc.) for Therapist II.
  • Current, unrestricted independent license (LISW, LMHC, LCPC, LCSW) in Iowa or Illinois for Therapist II.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and ability to learn other software.
  • Ability to physically attend to children in moments of difficulty.

Responsibilities

  • Adapt your schedule to meet program and client needs.
  • Provide after-hours on-call coverage as assigned.
  • Conduct mental health evaluations to determine medical necessity and diagnosis.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to client needs.
  • Ensure informed consent and proper completion of legal/agency documentation.
  • Complete discharge planning and summaries.
  • Partner with families, schools, hospitals, case managers, and community resources.
  • Ensure continuity of care and manage transitions effectively.
  • Provide training and consultation to staff and colleagues when needed.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records, reports, and required data in a timely manner.
  • Follow all agency policies, as well as all legal, licensing, and accreditation requirements.
  • Uphold the highest standards of ethics, integrity, and professional practice.
  • Participate in ongoing training and staff development.
  • Meet regularly with your clinical supervisor for support and case review.
