About The Position

Piedmont Eastside The Outpatient Mental Health Therapist provides individual counseling, group therapy, and psychoeducation to clients receiving outpatient services. This role supports individuals with mental health and/or co-occurring substance use disorders, helping them develop coping strategies and achieve treatment goals. Schedule Full-time with some evening availability (variable shift)

Requirements

• Masters degree in counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
• LPC, LCSW, LMFT (associate licensure accepted if working toward full licensure).
• Prior experience in outpatient mental health or substance use treatment preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and group facilitation skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate individual therapy sessions and create personalized treatment plans.
• Conduct intake assessments , including psychosocial evaluations and risk assessments.
• Provide group therapy sessions focused on mental health, coping skills, and relapse prevention.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, and case managers to ensure integrated care.
• Document all sessions and maintain compliance with HIPAA and program standards.
• Offer crisis intervention and support as needed.
• Educate clients on emotional regulation, life skills, and recovery strategies.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in ongoing training.
