About The Position

Our program, Senior Life Solutions, a geriatric intensive outpatient program is seeking a full-time Program Therapist at our Cordell OK location. Senior Life Solutions is a specialized outpatient program focused on improving the emotional and mental well-being of older adults dealing with issues like depression, anxiety, grief, and the stresses of aging. Our evidence-based approach combines compassion, structure, and support to help seniors regain stability and quality of life. We are a hospital based Intensive outpatient therapy program, and we provide group and individual therapy to the geriatric community, 65 and older, who deal with depression, anxiety, and stresses brought on by the aging process. All our patients have to be able to improve or at least maintain in our program, so with that we aren't working with any of the extreme behavioral health cases. Most of our patients are dealing with depression such as loss of spouse or changes in mental and physical abilities, loneliness, loss of independence, etc. and normally wouldn't have access to this type of care.

Requirements

• Licensure: License in Social Work or Counseling as recognized by the state; may include LISW, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, etc. - required
• Work with kindness and accountability to enhance the quality of life for our patients - required

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a small disciplinary team comprised of a psychiatric physician, RN Director, and medical office coordinator providing services to the senior population
• Use evidenced based therapeutic approaches and develop, personalize, and update treatment plans with your team
• Provide compliant documentation based on Medicare guidelines within a designated time-frame
• Utilize group therapy three times a week, 3 times a day
• Conduct individual sessions
• Facilitate family therapy as needed
• Assist with local community education
• Perform other duties as assigned
