About The Position

Position Overview: The Group Facilitator plans, develops, and delivers group therapy programming for clients in our mental health/dual diagnosis day programs. Inspires and motivates Charles River Recovery clients and to help them develop tools to work toward recovery using evidence-based and person-centered practices. This is a full-time position, with mental health Outpatient program functioning Monday through Friday during regular business hours.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling or other related field
  • 1 year experience in the field of substance use treatment or closely related field.
  • LCSW, LADC I, LICSW, or LMHC
  • Must have strong knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Understanding of diverse cultures and gender specific issues and the ability to incorporate needs of gender and culturally diverse groups into the organization.
  • Understands need for and always maintains appropriate confidentiality when interacting with patients, residents, families, visitors, referral sources and all other contacts.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic modalities and services for substance use and co-occurring disorders.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate clients’ mental and physical health, addiction, or problem behavior and assess their readiness for treatment
  • Deliver Group Therapy daily to patients with innovative modalities and autonomy of service delivery within regulations.
  • Document mental status and services delivered with patient responses appropriately in EMR system.
  • Work effectively with effective communication within the team to address patient’s status.
  • Help clients develop skills and behaviors necessary to recover from their addiction or modify their behavior
  • Work with clients to identify behaviors or situations that interfere with their recovery
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
