About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and motivated LPN Supervisor to provide leadership, oversight, and support for our Grandview Primary Care clinic. This role combines direct patient care with administrative leadership, ensuring high-quality service delivery, staff coordination, and smooth daily operations. The LPN Supervisor will serve as the go-to leader for clinical and support staff, managing scheduling, supervising and mentoring team members, and overseeing clinical workflows. Key responsibilities include performance management, staff training, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, monitoring quality metrics, and facilitating communication between providers, medical assistants, and administrative staff. Supervise the smooth and efficient operation of the department and assist in the provision of quality health care to patients. Under the direction of the Director or the Assistant Director of Nursing, proactively coordinates patient care activities and ensures the nursing process is carried out by demonstrating professional and clinical leadership.

Requirements

  • High School or GED (Required)
  • LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - National Council of State Boards of Nursing
  • LPN licensed in the State of Ohio, without restrictions.
  • Motivated, self directed individual with a well integrated personality.
  • Poised, professional appearance.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal relations.
  • Must possess a current card verifying CPR Certification or will need to become certified within the first 120 days.
  • Ability to operate, including but not limited to, computer, FAX machine, copier, and multi line phone.
  • Must have two years of office or supervisory Experience and minimum of four years of general nursing Experience .
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel programs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the major duties of staff as required per departmental structure.
  • Organize the workflow, prioritize, assign duties and monitor outcome for quality and quantity within the department. Seek and incorporate physician input regarding operations of the department .
  • Oversee the ordering, receiving and storage of supplies/equipment.
  • Write, review and update policies and procedures on a regular basis and as needed for all departments under his/her supervision.
  • Act as a liaison with employees and supervisors from other departments to promote problem solving and improve interdepartmental operations.
  • Review incident reports initiated with the department s and take follow-up action as indicated.
  • Schedule and conduct departmental meetings on a regular basis to convey items of interest, interpret departmental and Company policies and procedures, etc. , as well as to seek input and feedback from employees. Maintain attendance records for departmental meetings.
  • Identify educational needs within the department and assist in developing learning experiences to meet those needs.
  • Participates in interview, selection, and recommendation for hire process and oversees training of new employees for their areas.
  • Review and approve employee time cards and all time-out requests. Maintain accurate records of employee's time out.
  • Arrange office coverage as needed for employee absences using department employees if at all possible
  • Conduct timely employee evaluations, initiate any necessary disciplinary action, recommend bonuses and pay adjustments.
  • Assist in the development of departmental budget; monitor and report utilization of personnel and supplies.
  • Plan for future departmental needs i.e., staffing, equipment, supplies, budget, and space requirements.
  • Participate in required or recommended Company meetings for employees and/or supervisors.
  • Exhibit interest in personal continuing education to improve clinical and/or management skills.
  • Serve on standing or ad hoc committees as requested or as time and interest permits.
  • Meet with and report to Director or Assistant Director of Nursing on regular basis to share information, ideas, concerns, etc.
  • May be required to travel to off site locations.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all current and former patients and medical records as required by HIPAA regulations and company policy.
  • Perform any other duties necessary in the operation of the departments and/or Company.
  • Complete required HealthStream courses.
