Work with team to assist the Medical Director, NPs, and staff with health screening and physical exams that meet with his/her satisfaction. Assist in providing screening, interviews and evaluations in a professional and engaging manner, including the required information, organizing it for key personnel to suggest level of care for each client assigned, and clearly presenting the information to the psychiatrist and treatment team. Provide nursing care in a professional, compassionate and effective manner, and in keeping with established standards. Maintain the security of the medications in the storage area, ensuring that all supplies are accounted for. Inspect/oversee integrity of medical area ensuring that it is clean and well-stocked on a daily basis. Monitor and document client medications from prescribing physicians both inside and outside of the organization. Assist the prescribers in completing medication refills, medication inquiries, and other tasks needed by the prescriber. Completes appropriate documentation of services in the electronic record within documentation requirements and timelines. Work with clinical staff to ensure appropriate documentation of Medicaid clients. Administer and dispense medication and prepare and monitor medication dosages, ensuring that each client receives the proper dosage in a timely manner. Support the halfway house residents and staff in ensuring that the medication and proper documentation of medications is thorough, complete, and timely. This may include completion of Prior Authorizations, Patient Assistance Program applications, Physician Orders, and other documentation as required.
