About The Position

Description $7,500 SIGN ON BONUS Location: Multiple ASC & OBL Sites in the Dallas area Job Summary: The Radiology Technologist (R.T.), under minimal supervision, performs a variety of duties as a member of the surgical team. The R.T. conducts x-ray procedures in the operating and special procedure rooms, processes images, scrubs into cases, and ensures proper equipment calibration functionality. They may assist in preparing prepare supplies/equipment for cases and contribute to case prep for the following day. Essential Duties / Responsibilities: Assemble supplies, and prep radiology equipment and positioning aids per physician preference cards. Test and monitor radiology equipment for proper function. Ensure all personnel are shielded before activating x-ray. Maintain aseptic sterile technique during procedures as indicated. Remain available during Circulate during procedures for timely support. Follow federal/state regulations and manufacturer guidelines. Document radiation exposure in patient records. Assist providers with documentation of performed cases via Vascunote. Assist with inventory control and suite turnover/cleaning. Provide support to staff, physicians, and visitors using strong guest relations. Serve as a resource to other staff members. Follow all infection control and OSHA guidelines, including PPE use. Participate in staff education, QI activities, and staff meetings. Maintain required certifications and assist in emergencies. Support new employee/student orientation and training. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail for handling instruments.
  • Ability to stay calm and function well under pressure in surgical settings.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
  • R.T. Certification and Fluoroscopy Permit required.
  • Current CPR certification required, ACLS required within 30 days.
  • 1 year experience scrubbing interventional radiology cases.
  • Prolonged standing, especially at sterile field.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds. (equipment, trays, or patients).
  • Requires manual dexterity, hearing, and near vision.
  • Potential exposure to blood, body fluids, chemicals, and equipment hazards.
