LOCATION DETAILS Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates, Peachtree Dunwoody Clinic GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES We are seeking a highly motivated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our advanced center for GI therapeutics ( https://www.uniteddigestive.com/advanced-center-for-gi-therapeutics/ ). This APP will support gastroenterologists who perform complex endoscopic and therapeutic procedures including Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), ERCP, Barrett’s esophagus ablation, and advanced GERD interventions. This role focuses on the comprehensive management of pancreaticobiliary disorders, advanced esophageal disease, and functional/structural foregut conditions , across both outpatient and inpatient settings. The ideal candidate will work in close collaboration with advanced endoscopists, participate in pre- and post-procedural care, and manage longitudinal care for complex GI patients.

Requirements

  • Master of Medical Science, Physician Assistant or Master of Science in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner required, adult or acute care Nurse Practitioner.
  • Must be computer literate and able to operate Practice Management software and multiple Microsoft Office applications.
  • APP must be able to: Provide a high level of quality patient care and customer service at all times
  • APP must be able to: Work under pressure; assess, respond to, and communicate issues in a timely manner
  • APP must be able to: Maintain composure and set a professional example to patients and coworkers
  • APP must be able to: Communicate clearly with patients and coworkers through the telephone, email, and in person
  • APP must be able to: Interpret and apply clinical and non-clinical policies and procedures
  • Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment; travel as business needs dictate.

Nice To Haves

  • GI experience preferred, however, new graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Running daily GI outpatient clinic
  • Accurately providing and counseling patients with information for medical treatment or procedures
  • Answering emails and voicemails and returning patient calls in a timely and efficient manner
  • Abiding by and promoting HIPAA compliance; maintaining strictest confidentiality with regards to patient information
