At NMC Health, we're proud to set an award-winning standard for healthcare in the Wichita Metro Area. We are currently seeking an Outpatient Insurance Coordinator to join our Imaging Services team. In this role, you'll provide vital administrative support for referrals, pre-certifications, and authorizations, ensuring patients and physicians receive timely and accurate service. As an Insurance Coordinator, you'll play a key role in maintaining smooth imaging operations by multitasking, prioritizing workflow, and demonstrating strong decision-making and communication skills.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1-2 years' experience in a medical office or hospital setting
• Proficiency in typing and computer skills
• Understanding of insurance processes and scheduling workflows
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong commitment to quality customer service
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree preferred and/or equivalent work experience
• Familiarity with software such as Meditech, Outlook, and IPAS is a plus

Responsibilities

• Coordinating outpatient imaging referrals and pre-authorizations with accuracy and urgency
• Working closely with physicians, patients, and insurance providers
• Demonstrating strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities
• Communicating professionally and compassionately with patients and team members
• Operating with minimal supervision while ensuring high service quality
