Location : Piedmont Augusta Hospital - Augusta, GA Setting : 585-bed hospital; Weight Management and Bariatric Surgery Center Schedule : Full time; Monday - Friday, no weekends! Requirement : Must be registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration or eligible. New grads welcome!! Position Details : The RD will do assessments and counseling with clients either for medical weight loss or in preparation for bariatric surgery individually and in group classes. The RD will see clients when they come for clinic visits post-op as well as when they are in the hospital after surgery. The RD will also assist with the monthly support group. You will work collaboratively with the team and clients to ensure the nutrition plans are implemented and departmental standards are maintained.

  • Provides nutrition assessment, modified diet formulation, self-management training and nutrition intervention
  • Complies with all regulatory standards, including federal, state and accrediting agencies
  • Adheres to facility confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient rights policies where applicable
  • Participates in facility-wide and departmental Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement Programs
  • Identifies weekly treatment goals and communicates individual client needs to treatment team
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Bachelor’s degree and Registered Dietitian in accordance with the Commission on Dietetic Registration, required
  • Licensed by the State Dietetics Licensing Board in states where applicable required
  • Experience with computers and programs including Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Advanced Practitioner Certification and other advance practice, preferred
