Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Registered (through examination administered) by the Commission of Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association
  • Current license to practice dietetics from the state of South Carolina
  • Certificate of Training in Obesity for Pediatrics and Adults must be obtained within one year of hire

Responsibilities

  • Assessing and monitoring nutritional health of outpatient bariatric patients
  • Developing and implementing individualized nutrition plans
  • Providing one-on-one and group nutrition counseling
  • Collaborating closely with physicians and care teams to ensure seamless patient care
  • Leading patient support groups and creating educational content for social media
  • Mentoring dietetic interns and supporting professional growth within the team
