The Outpatient Clinic Coordinator / Receptionist - Monroe, LA facilitates the flow of organization information; to provide a positive, responsive environment for receiving internal and external customers via telephone and face-to-face. Brentwood has served Louisiana, East Texas and South Arkansas for more than 45 years. We provide quality services to children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. We help individuals and families achieve optimal mental health, resulting in improved quality of life. A dedicated professional team provides individualized treatment, meeting the personal needs of our patients in a safe and nurturing environment.

  • Greets patients, visitors and staff who enter clinic.
  • Schedules patients' appointments.
  • Answers telephone and routes calls; takes routine messages.
  • Collects and records patients' payments for services.
  • Assists patients in completing claims and other forms.
  • Communicates with payors regarding coverage and payments; notifies Director of payment problems.
  • Acquires accurate patient information prior to or at time of registration for verification of insurance coverage.
  • Communicates coverage to patients with estimate of charges, estimated insurance reimbursement and estimated patient amount due.
  • Collects patient deposit if required.
  • Timely registration into patient accounting system.
  • Timely billing to third party payors and patient guarantor.
  • Records cash receipts accurately into the cash receipt journal daily.
  • Applies payments to the patient accounting system daily.
  • High School Diploma/Equivalent.
  • Some college credits or degrees preferred.
  • Relevant work experience in medical office setting.
