ChristianaCare, is looking for an Outpatient Cardiac Sonographer to work full time day in our Middletown Ketley Plaza location. Shift: Full time weekdays and no weekends or call. PRIMARY FUNCTION: To perform diagnostic echocardiograms in adherence to the American Society of Echo Cardiography and to assist physicians in the diagnosis of cardiac disease.
Requirements
- Associates Degree preferred
- Certification from ARDMS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, RDCS) or from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (Registered Cardiovascular Technologist, RCVT), or a new graduate of an accredited ultrasound program who meets registry eligibility
- CPR certification
Nice To Haves
- IV experience to perform contrast and bubble studies
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic echocardiograms in adherence to the American Society of Echo Cardiography
- Assist physicians in the diagnosis of cardiac disease
- Perform 2D, M-Mode, CW, PW, and Color Flow Doppler echocardiograms
- Provide quality and quantitative echocardiograms for adult and geriatric populations
- Accurately present completed echocardiograms to physicians
- Recognize normal and abnormal echocardiograms
