About The Position

Salt Lake Behavioral Health is seeking a passionate and talented Outpatient Therapist Shifts: Per Diem - Weekdays and Evenings with some Virtual requirements The Outpatient Therapist performs social services functions to include assisting patients in meeting their biopsychosocial needs while enabling them to access through therapeutic treatment skills to achieve their optimal level of emotional health, including providing basic consultation, teaching, complete specialized clinical work services for patients/families receiving care, crisis intervention, short-term and long-term therapy, and providing information and referrals as needed. The Outpatient Therapist will be responsible for managing a set case load, providing mental health/chemical dependency treatment in a group setting, completing individualized treatment plans, and coordinating continuing care/discharge planning. The Outpatient Therapist works with at treatment team and multi-disciplinary team. We understand that not all wounds are visible. Requirements

  • Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field required.
  • 2 years experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills preferred; must have strong clinical assessment skills.
  • 2 years experience in dual diagnosis and substance use disorder treatment.
  • CSW, LCSW, ACMHC, CMHC, AMFT, LMFT with the state of Utah
  • CPR certification is required.
  • You will need to successfully complete our current training for restraints and seclusions.
  • This training will need to be done prior to assisting in any patient restraints or seclusions and within 90 days of employment.
  • May be required to work flexible hours.
