Carle Health is seeking a BE/BC Adult Psychiatrist to join our Behavioral Health team in Champaign, Illinois. This position offers the opportunity to join a large, multidisciplinary Behavioral Health team that includes Adult and Child Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Therapists, Social Workers, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, and Psychometricians. The Adult Psychiatry call is 1:5 on weekdays and 1:4 on weekends, with no ER call required. The position is part of a fully accredited Psychiatry Residency and allows for a maximum of 14 patients per day. The role includes 60 – 90 minute new patient evaluations and the opportunity to engage in psychotherapy, consult liaison, addiction psychiatry, and geriatric psychiatry, both inpatient and outpatient. Inpatient opportunities are available if desired. The facility is extremely established and is part of an integrated system with a large referral base. There is also an opportunity for academic and/or research affiliation with the Carle Illinois College of Medicine, the nation’s first medical school focused at the intersection of healthcare and engineering.
