About The Position

As an Outlet Support Associate the primary function of this position is assist in merchandising and maintenance of the Outlet Showroom. The outlet support associate is also responsible for removing and transferring all products with “Sold” tags to the clearance customer pick-up location and restock the Outlet with pre-priced furniture.  Your contributions will ensure the success of the Outlet Clearance showroom at CITY Furniture.

Requirements

  • High-School Diploma or GED.
  • Basic tool knowledge and use is required.
  • Operations experience within this type of environment is preferred but not required.
  • Air-conditioned retail furniture showroom environment.
  • 5-day, 40-hour work week, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Heavy lifting in excess of 75 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, reach and be on feet for long periods of time.
  • Must not be afraid of heights.
  • Basic Computer knowledge

Nice To Haves

  • Operations experience within this type of environment is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Load product into customer’s vehicles utilizing proper material handling techniques and equipment to minimize damages, utilizing proper loading techniques to ensure a safe secure load.
  • Install and tighten all hardware where needed, adjust doors to line up properly, install legs on sofas, attach mirrors to dressers, fasten tops to bases on China and entertainment units, install shelves where applicable.
  • Assist with the cleanliness of the Outlet and product staging area.
  • Keep the floors clean of debris, dust, stickers, labels, etc. Vacuums Outlet carpets daily.
  • Adhere to assigned Standard Work and Role and Responsibilities for your role.
  • Maintain positive interaction with the Sales staff, Distribution Center personnel, and, most importantly, our Customers.
  • Actively participate with the Team to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Offer new ideas and suggestions to improve the Outlet’s systems and processes.
