About The Position

Work on daily operational tasks as it relates to sale floor, production and customer service. Assists with opening and closing functions as needed in the absence of the Distribution Center Manager and Outlet Coordinator.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalent; or no formal education necessary and one (1) year of relevant experience.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Must have basic math skills.
Must have the flexibility to work varied hours to include Saturdays and holidays.
Ability to work in all weather extremes.
Ability to work around dust, dirt, fumes and varied noise levels.
Ability to stand continuously for more than 75% of the shift.
Ability to stoop, crouch, reach, kneel, and bend.
Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds frequently and greater than 50 pounds occasionally.

Nice To Haves

Previous retail experience preferred.
POS and basic computer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Assists in ensuring an attractive and convenient layout of sales floor.
Assists in rotation of materials, visual merchandising, cleanliness and organization of sales floor.
Opens the Outlet on a timely basis and reports any security issues to appropriate personnel.
Ensures quality of customer service is provided by all employees in a timely and courteous manner to all internal and external customers.
Ensures cash handling policies are followed.
Assists in ensuring that all paperwork is completed in an accurate and timely manner to include opening/closing procedures, balancing cash drawers, and bank deposits when needed.
Reports issues to the Distribution Center Manager and Loss Prevention in a timely manner.
Secures the building as needed, including but not limited to: doors, docks, safe and alarms.
Represents Goodwill Keystone Area in a positive manner by providing excellent customer service at all times to external and internal customers.
Supports and communicates Goodwill Keystone Area policies and procedures in the absence of the Distribution Center Manager and Outlet Coordinator.
Maintains an awareness of safety practices, techniques, precautions and performs all duties in a safe manner and ensures that assigned staff adhere to all safety practices, rules, and regulations.
Reports safety issues to the Distribution Center Manager and Outlet Coordinator.
Supports and promotes organizational programs and special events as required.
Promotes an environment of workplace safety by training and informing others regarding safety standards/precautions.
Monitors safety and takes corrective action.
Assures that regulatory safety requirements are adhered to.
Communicates progress, problems, and concerns to the Distribution Center Manager.
