About The Position

Position Summary: Achieves or exceeds sales objective by serving the customer. Interacts with sales, office, and corporate staff to accomplish company goals. Essential Functions: The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Opening and closing the store Welcomes customers by greeting them; and offering assistance. Assists customers by escorting them to area of the store for requested items. Monitors sales staff and inspects what is expected. Helps customer make selections by building customer confidence. Offers suggestions and opinions. Maintains sales floor integrity through visual display. Ability to organize, prioritize and multitask in a fast paced environment. Responsible for prepping new furniture and placing on the floor with the help of other staff members. Keeps clientele informed by notifying them of future merchandise of potential interest (Wish Book). Contributes to team assignments and requirements. Works together as an individual and team to open and close the showrooms.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Customer Service and people skills, selling to customer needs.
Product knowledge.
General math skills.
Computer Skills.
Excellent communication, organizational, listening and leadership skills.
Initiative to meet assigned sales goals, missions and objectives.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and build rapport.
Medium Exerting 20 to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or 10 to 25 lbs. of force frequently and or greater than negligible up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
