Outdoor Living Construction Project Manager
About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee custom residential outdoor living projects in Franklin, TN. This full-time onsite position is responsible for managing deck builds, covered porches, screened-in patios, and other exterior construction projects from contract through completion. The ideal candidate has strong residential construction experience, understands structural framing and finish carpentry, and can effectively coordinate crews, subcontractors, and homeowners to deliver high-quality results. This role plays a key part in maintaining project schedules, ensuring craftsmanship standards, and delivering an exceptional client experience.
Requirements
- Experience in residential construction project management
- Strong knowledge of deck building, framing, exterior carpentry, or outdoor living construction
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and structural plans
- Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating jobsite logistics
- Solid scheduling and cost-control skills
- Strong client-facing communication abilities
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work full time onsite in Franklin, TN
Nice To Haves
- Experience with composite decking systems and outdoor structures
- Knowledge of local permitting and inspection processes
- Background in finish carpentry or exterior remodeling
Responsibilities
- Manage custom deck, porch, and outdoor living construction projects from start to finish
- Coordinate framing crews, carpenters, subcontractors, and material deliveries
- Review construction plans, specifications, and scope of work
- Develop and maintain project schedules to meet deadlines
- Monitor job costs, change orders, and project budgets
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure quality workmanship and safety compliance
- Communicate proactively with homeowners regarding progress and expectations
- Resolve field challenges quickly to maintain production flow
- Ensure projects meet local building codes and inspection requirements
