About The Position

The Outdoor Ice Rink and Warming House Attendant maintains the safety and operations at the outdoor skating rinks throughout the City of Eden Prairie. The primary position responsibilities and areas of impact are: Oversees ice rinks and warming houses ensure a safe, friendly, and enjoyable atmosphere for the public. Interacts in a positive and professional manner with the public. Enforces safety regulations at ice rinks and warming houses. Opens and closes the warming house at scheduled times. Prepares and maintains accurate records regarding usage, weather and rink conditions. Performs other related duties as required (i.e. shovel snow from rinks, sidewalks, clean warming house). While these areas are the primary focus of this position, we believe strongly in teamwork and employees will be called upon to perform a variety of duties as a part of their role with the City.

Requirements

• Must be at least 15 years of age
• Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
• Must have the ability to lift/pull/push/move/carry up to 50 lbs., bend/stand/reach, and ice skate at a recreational level.
• Candidates must successfully complete and pass the City’s evaluation of the pre-employment process prior to their first day of employment.
