About The Position

The position involves selecting products from inventory and assembling, packing, and transporting them to staging areas for shipment. The employee is required to work in freezer, cooler, and dry warehouse environments while maintaining appropriate productivity standards. Responsibilities include safely performing all duties, following essential selection pick paths, correctly labeling products, and staging them on pallets. The role also involves loading and unloading product deliveries, recording necessary item information into the Warehouse Management System (WMS), and maintaining accurate records of shortages. The employee must stack products on pallets securely, deliver stacked pallets to assigned areas, and ensure compliance with safety rules to reduce accidents and injuries. The position requires operating material handling equipment safely and maintaining cleanliness in the work area. Cross-training in other warehouse functions may also be required.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous warehouse experience and/or training preferred.
• Material handling equipment experience preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical operations.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.

Nice To Haves

• Reach truck experience preferred.
• Crown and/or Raymond reach truck experience a plus.
• Certification on material handling equipment or ability to become certified.

Responsibilities

• Select products from inventory and assemble, pack, and transport to staging areas for shipment.
• Work in freezer, cooler, and dry warehouse environments.
• Maintain appropriate productivity standards.
• Follow essential selection pick paths and correctly label products.
• Load and unload product deliveries as required.
• Record necessary item information into Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Maintain accurate records of shortages and report them to Supervisor.
• Stack products on pallets securely to prevent damage.
• Deliver stacked pallets to assigned areas on loading dock.
• Secure pallets with shrink wrap for delivery.
• Work with Supervisor to minimize warehouse shrink and maintain inventory control.
• Ensure neatness and cleanliness of assigned work area.
• Report unfixable/unsafe issues immediately to supervisor.
• Observe and enforce all safety rules.
• Operate material handling equipment safely.
• Ensure warehouse computers and equipment are used safely and professionally.
• Cross-train in other warehouse functions and perform other duties as assigned.
