About The Position

The Outbound Fulfillment Associate provides professional, respectful, friendly, and high-quality customer service and excellent communications to all internal and external customers regarding department supply orders. This role involves processing all incoming client supply and department orders, ensuring they are accurately picked, packed, confirmed, and delivered in a timely manner. The associate is responsible for all functions related to stocking, record keeping, and distribution of all materials, taking inventory counts, and distributing items to the proper location. All functions must be performed according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years' previous experience in customer service and/or warehouse operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain positive relations with a diverse internal team and external customer base.
  • Hazardous Materials certification upon employment or within six (6) months of hire.
  • Forklift certification upon employment or within six (6) months of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or higher level of education.
  • One-year previous supply management experience within healthcare, clinical or diagnostic laboratory industry.
  • One year experience in direct customer facing role.
  • Basic skill-level in MS Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for professional, respectful, and friendly communication directly with internal department customers in support of department stock and nonstock orders, emergency requests, order status, backorders, returns, and general supply related support.
  • Performs inventory counts in both departments point of use and in fulfillment center inventories using information systems and/or automated systems.
  • Generates pick lists, pick orders, restock inventories, puts-away inbound inventory, and completes client supply orders for delivery through logistics team or 3rd party carrier.
  • Complies with First-In-First-Out (FIFO) replenishment standards.
  • Performs audits on assigned inventories and identifies stockouts, expired inventory, FIFO inaccuracies, and damaged product.
  • Delivers stock and nonstock supplies to all onsite departments within assigned delivery route.
  • Communicates any discrepancies to customers using established communication methods for clear and prompt order feedback.
  • Actively supports Lean culture as a contributing team member in Lean projects and fulfills assigned 5S duties at established regular intervals.
  • Performs detailed full physical inventory count during scheduled portions of the year utilizing established process and information systems.
