About The Position

Hinckley has been building and servicing America’s finest yachts since 1928. Each new Hinckley yacht carries with it the symbol, Talaria, which marks the swift pursuit of superior ideas. Today, Hinckley builds highly innovative, power and sailing yachts from 29 to 76 feet under the Hinckley, Hinckley Sport Boat, Hunt, and Morris brands. Nine yacht care centers from Maine to Florida complete the Hinckley offering by providing service, refits, transportation and storage for a pinnacle ownership experience. We are seeking an Experienced Marine Outboard Mechanic/Technician for our Stamford CT Location.

Requirements

• Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Must provide own tools.
• Outboard Equipment Certified.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in various outboard engines such as Mercury, Honda, Evinrude, Suzuki and Yamaha.
• Experience in all areas of sterndrive and outboard repair and maintenance.
• Experience in electrical diagnosis.
• Willingness to work with others.
• Some travel within the local area.
• Clean and maintain all equipment as required.
• Troubleshoot problems with all equipment as it arises.
• Will work with other mechanical systems within mechanical shop as needed.
• Ability to work any assigned shift and ability to work assigned overtime.
• Willing and able to educate themselves with OEM technical training/requirements.
• Ability and willingness to “flex” to any position in the department to assist with team goals.
