About The Position

Boater’s World Marine Centers is seeking a driven and knowledgeable Outboard Motor Sales Consultant to join our high-volume Grand Prairie, Texas location serving the greater Dallas–Fort Worth boating community. This is a specialized sales role focused on outboard repowers, upgrades, and performance-driven engine sales for freshwater and inland boaters who demand reliability, speed, and value. If you understand how horsepower, rigging, prop selection, and hull compatibility impact performance—and you enjoy guiding customers through major purchase decisions—this role offers strong earning potential and long-term career growth in one of the busiest boating markets in the country. You’ll work closely with our Service, Parts, and Finance teams to deliver seamless, turnkey engine solutions from quote to install to delivery.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience selling or supporting outboard motors, marine parts, or marine service
  • Strong familiarity with Yamaha, Mercury, and Suzuki outboard platforms
  • Ability to explain technical concepts in a clear, customer-friendly way
  • Experience quoting engines, rigging, and labor
  • Professional, driven, and customer-focused mindset

Nice To Haves

  • CRM and DMS experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Consult with boat owners to determine the best outboard solution based on vessel type, usage, and performance goals
  • Sell outboard motors from leading manufacturers such as Yamaha, Mercury, and Suzuki
  • Recommend the right horsepower, controls, rigging, props, and gauges to match each customer’s needs
  • Build trust by providing expert, transparent guidance
  • Create accurate engine quotes that include motors, rigging, parts, and installation
  • Coordinate with the Service Department to confirm installation scope, timing, and labor
  • Work with Finance to structure payment and financing options for customers
  • Own the customer experience from first call through post-install follow-up
  • Manage inbound and outbound leads via phone, email, showroom traffic, and online inquiries
  • Maintain a steady pipeline of repower and upgrade opportunities
  • Track quotes, deals, and follow-ups in CRM and Dealer Management Systems
  • Hit and exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals
