About The Position

This position facilitates the registration of Outpatient Physical Therapy Patients. The role involves interviewing patients and/or their representatives to gather identifying information and other necessary data for registration.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Previous registration or billing experience.
• Knowledge of insurance regulations
• System knowledge, including HIS, Insurance Eligibility, Micro Soft, Omni and HDX
• Communication Skills

Responsibilities

• Receives in-coming telephone calls promptly and professionally.
• Maintains constant awareness of patient arrival.
• Monitors prescriptions for expiration.
• Accepts payment from patient as appropriate.
• Maintains the patient's privacy and abides to our regulatory agencies.
• Orders Lab and Rad tests in the appropriate systems.
• Ensures we have appropriate authorizations before patient has scheduled tests.
• Sends reports to appropriate physicians.
• Performs related duties, as required.
