Requirements

  • Current, valid Occupational Therapist (OTR) License in the state of California.
  • Specialization: Proven experience or certification in Hand Therapy (CHT preferred, but not required with significant hand-specialty experience).
  • Clinical Excellence: Proficiency in manual therapy, custom splinting, and specialized upper extremity wound care.

Responsibilities

  • Specialized Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of the hand and upper extremity, including strength, range of motion, sensation, and functional use.
  • Advanced Treatment: Implement evidence-based hand therapy protocols for post-surgical cases, fractures, tendon injuries, and nerve compressions.
  • Orthotic Fabrication: Design and fit custom splints or orthotics as needed to protect healing tissue and improve function.
  • Functional Integration: Utilize our ADL suite to bridge the gap between clinical hand exercises and real-world daily tasks.
  • Collaboration: Provide expert consultation to the broader interdisciplinary team regarding upper extremity rehabilitation and preventative care.
