OTR Class A Owner Operator
About The Position
Clean Harbors is looking for a OTR Class A Dry Van Owner Operator to join their safety conscious team in La Porte, TX. Can be based out of Houston, TX / El Dorado, AR / Denton, TX OTR FLEX driver, 2500-3k miles per week. OTR for 1-2 weeks at a time. Primarily west half of US. Frequent locations will be El Dorado, AR, Kimball, NE, Houston, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Carson, CA, San Jose, CA, Aragonite, UT, New Orleans, LA. About the role: Average $200-250K per year Bi-Weekly home time Compensation package includes on-duty time paid via hourly demurrage rates, non-asset hourly rates, and/or mileage pay Why work for Clean Harbors? Requirements
- Class A CDL
- HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements
- Minium 12 months of Class A driving experience
- Ability to effectively use required technology such as mobile applications and computer software
Responsibilities
- Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
- Operates tractor trailer units
- Adheres to weights and ensures proper utilization of the units
- Ensures proper loading and unloading of hazardous waste/non-hazardous waste; Properly secures the loads
- Placards vehicle in accordance to Company and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements/regulations
- Maintains daily logs, invoicing, time sheets, dispatch and trip reports as well as vehicle inspection reports
