Requirements

  • Experience: 5–10+ years of experience in logistics or transportation, including a minimum of 3 years in a management role within a non-asset OTR brokerage environment.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Work Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work weekends as required based on business needs and workload.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Operations & Lane Management
  • Network Optimization: Develop and manage high-density OTR lanes to balance headhaul and backhaul freight, minimizing empty miles and improving network efficiency.
  • Capacity Strategy: Build and maintain a core network of vetted, high-reliability carriers to support consistent service levels.
  • Carrier Sourcing: Identify and onboard strategic carrier partners for high-volume and core lanes.
  • Exception Management: Serve as the final escalation point for complex transit issues, including equipment breakdowns, weather-related disruptions, service failures, and freight claims.
  • Regulatory & Safety Compliance
  • Carrier Vetting: Ensure full compliance with FMCSA regulations and internal carrier qualification standards.
  • Fraud Prevention: Implement and oversee advanced identity verification (IDV) and fraud-prevention processes to mitigate risks related to double-brokering and cargo theft.
