About The Position

Knight Transportation is seeking dedicated CDL A Truck Drivers for regional routes, primarily covering areas between Salt Lake City, UT, Albuquerque, NM, and El Paso, TX. This full-time position offers competitive pay based on dispatched miles, with an average of 2,200+ miles per week. The role emphasizes delivering more for drivers, including respect, pay, and miles, while providing a supportive work environment with various benefits.

Requirements

• Must have 1 year of OTR experience within the last 5 years or 6 months of OTR experience within the last year.
• Must hold a valid Class A license.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• No DUI within the last 5 years or 10 years if CDL holder at time of DUI.
• No more than 1 preventable accident in the past 2 years, and no major accident within the last 5 years.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 2 years.
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical and drug tests.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with drop and hook freight operations.
• Familiarity with regional routes in the Southwestern United States.

Responsibilities

• Drive a heavy and tractor-trailer truck on regional routes.
• Transport freight with no touch freight, utilizing drop and hook methods.
• Complete round trip loads covering Texas, New Mexico, and Utah.
• Maintain a safe driving record and adhere to all DOT regulations.
• Ensure timely delivery of goods while managing time effectively.
