The Global FSM Technical Skills and Capabilities Organization is dedicated to delivering high-quality learning products, focusing on innovation, efficiency, sustainability, and continuous improvement to foster global technical talent growth and exceed industry standards. We are seeking a dynamic Site Technical Skills and Capabilities Leader to lead learning initiatives and oversee training programs, enhancing local workforce technical skills. This role requires a strategic mindset, exceptional technical acumen, and effective leadership to drive innovation and optimize local technical capabilities while aligning with global objectives. The candidate will collaborate with management, peers, stakeholders, and customers across sites to implement the vision, set local objectives, and execute deliverables. They must develop influence and leadership with global peers, factory and support organizations, and factory management to maintain alignment on decisions. Additionally, this role will drive cross-organizational projects to ensure a unified FSM voice and standardization.

  • Take charge of site-specific technical capabilities, understanding local manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems.
  • Lead FSM technical initiatives to enhance skills and problem-solving, ensuring workforce readiness for OTF site-specific needs.
  • Collaborate with site and cross-functional teams to identify and address technical gaps, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions locally.
  • Oversee daily learning operations, ensuring alignment with site and global targets, quality standards, and safety protocols.
  • Work with senior local leadership to identify long-term technical capabilities priorities and investment opportunities, contributing to the strategic roadmap.
  • Update OTF senior management on training progress and outcomes.
  • Efficiently lead local technical resources, collaborating with direct manager to support site operations and projects.
  • Collaborate with FSM technical staff to develop and execute learning strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Act as the main liaison between the local site and global technical teams, ensuring alignment with global strategies and representing technical needs.
  • Communicate local requirements and challenges to global stakeholders, advocating for necessary resources and support.
  • Apply global best practices and standards locally, driving continuous improvement and adherence to global quality standards.
  • Lead cross-functional projects for process improvement, knowledge sharing, and new technology implementation.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders for goal alignment, resource management, and timely project execution.
  • Implement and assess centralized technical training programs to enhance staff skills.
  • Monitor key performance indicators to evaluate the effectiveness of learning initiatives, making data driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Offer technical guidance to local teams, troubleshooting complex issues promptly.
  • Stay informed on emerging learning technologies, recommending innovative solutions to enhance capabilities.
  • Maintain deep understanding of relevant manufacturing technologies, processes, and industry trends.
  • Monitor key performance indicators for technical learning, certification performance and project milestones to ensure accountability and improvement.
  • Lead a team of capabilities professionals, collaborating with the direct manager to foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Mentor team members and recommend development opportunities for skill enhancement and career growth.
  • Cultivate a safe, inclusive work environment that encourages creativity, problem-solving, and knowledge sharing.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical leadership roles within a global manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years of working in the Clean Room with strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems, with expertise in relevant technologies.
  • 2+ years of learning and development theories that may include: Systems, tools, platforms, methodologies and experience in leading learning initiatives is an advantage.
  • 3+ years of experience in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
  • Advanced degree is a plus.
  • Work experience in multiple expertise areas.
  • HVM management experience as a Module Team Leader and/or Area Manager.
  • Experience with application / development of Adult-Learning Theory.
  • Demonstrated experience with applying LEAN, Agile, and/or Design Thinking.
  • Data analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, for effective collaboration with diverse teams globally.
