About The Position

Many people think skilled nursing facilities are only for end-of-life care, but that's a misconception. Our therapists work every day to help residents recover from surgeries, regain strength after illness, prevent falls, and stay independent in their daily lives. The goal is not just care; it's restoring function and improving quality of life . Supporting patients on their journey back home to a full and active life is truly a rewarding and fulfilling career . The Therapy Department at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Crofton is looking for an OT Occupational Therapist to fill a full-time position. You'll be part of our esteemed skilled nursing facility, providing outstanding and individualized care. Using therapeutic techniques, you will improve, rehabilitate, or maintain the patient's motor skills and overall ability to perform everyday activities. The OT Occupational Therapist will assess the patient's physical, communication and cognitive skills to develop a treatment plan. You must have strong written and verbal communication skills in order to effectively understand the needs of your patients, and explain the treatment process. Additionally, you must be able to clearly document treatment plans and progress, as well as effectively communicate with the patient's family or caregiver. If you are a therapist who enjoys being part of a cohesive group, are seeking thorough, continuous development, and would like the ability to be involved in your teams' decisions, then we would love to speak with you! Don't forget... An active state OT license is required. Unlimited employee referral bonus, up to $1,000 each. Multiple locations offered, but optional, for PRN coverage; potential full-time opportunity at additional locations. This is a direct hire position; we are not an agency.
