We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Operational Technology (OT) Cybersecurity Engineer to support the segmentation and security of tools and systems within our Semiconductor Fabrication (Fab) environment. This role involves assisting in the design, implementation, and maintenance of cybersecurity solutions that protect critical OT infrastructure while ensuring compliance with industry security standards and best practices.

  • Assist in designing and implementing segmented network architectures to isolate and protect OT assets from cybersecurity threats.
  • Support compliance efforts with NIST 800-82, ISO 27001, and CMMC standards for industrial control systems (ICS) and OT security.
  • Assist in risk assessments and vulnerability scanning on fab tools, identifying and documenting potential security gaps.
  • Help implement zero-trust architectures and manage identity and access controls for OT systems.
  • Work with senior engineers to implement and maintain intrusion detection systems (IDS), security information and event management (SIEM), and endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions.
  • Work closely with IT, OT, and engineering teams to align security policies and participate in cybersecurity awareness training.
  • Assist in maintaining an inventory of OT assets, monitoring for unauthorized devices and potential vulnerabilities.
  • Support the evaluation of third-party fab tool suppliers and vendors, ensuring compliance with company cybersecurity policies.
  • Participate in forensic investigations and root cause analysis (RCA) for cybersecurity incidents affecting fab tools.
  • Support patching strategies and system hardening guidelines for legacy and modern semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in OT/ICS cybersecurity, IT security, or network security (internships or coursework in OT security preferred).
  • Familiarity with firewall configurations, VLANs, micro-segmentation, and industrial DMZs is a plus.
  • Exposure to SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, and OT-specific security tools (Claroty, Dragos, Nozomi, etc.) is desirable.
  • Knowledge of secure remote access solutions for industrial environments (remote access proxy, VPN, MFA) is a plus.
  • Cybersecurity certifications preferred: CompTIA Security+, GICSP, ISA/IEC 62443, or equivalent (or willingness to obtain).
  • Exposure to semiconductor fab automation and SCADA systems.
  • Understanding of industrial control systems (ICS), embedded security, and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
  • Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK for ICS and threat modeling for OT environments.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance
  • Paid Time Off starting the first day
  • 401k including a generous company match
  • Tuition assistance
  • Disability and life insurance
  • Legal and ID theft insurance
