About The Position

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) performs a variety of therapy procedures and treatments under the direction of the Occupational Therapist, Registered (OTR); assisting clients to improve their ability to perform daily living tasks, basic motor functions and cognitive ability. This will be an on call position. Minimum requirement is one 8 hour Sunday shift per month. Looking for someone who is available during the week and weekends. potential to turn into full time or part time position.

Requirements

Associate’s Degree from an accredited school in Occupational Therapy Assistant required.
Must be registered and licensed with the State of Minnesota as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant and must maintain licensure.
CPR/First Aid certified through American Red Cross required.
Hospice and Medicare Home Care: Possesses a valid driver’s license with good driving record, and proof of valid insurance. Must have reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

One or more years experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant working with a geriatric population preferred.
