About The Position

The Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine (TouroCOM) is looking for an osteopathic physician to teach first-, second- and third-year medical students in a discipline-based curriculum on the Middletown, NY campus. The Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) faculty position specifically involves collaborating with faculty on the Harlem campus in the development, organization, and delivery of the first, second and third year OMM curriculum presented simultaneously on both campuses. Although a commitment to excellence in teaching is the primary responsibility of the position, faculty members also serve on the administrative committees of the college and are expected to already have, or to develop scholarly activity that results in peer-reviewed publications.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or Doctor of Medicine required.
  • Demonstrate potential for exceptional teaching at the medical school or graduate level.
  • Demonstrate potential for research and work well with the faculty team.
  • Clear communication skills and relevant content and clinical expertise.
  • Basic computer skills supporting the proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

  • Board-eligible/board-certified in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine/Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine.
  • Certificate of special proficiency in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (C-SPOMM).

Responsibilities
