About The Position

Are you ready to work on cutting-edge fiber optic infrastructure and help keep communities connected? We’re looking for an OSP Technician to join our team in Fremont, CA. This is a hands-on role where you’ll install, maintain, and repair fiber optic networks that power today’s technology.

Requirements

• Experience with fiber optic cable installation, splicing, and testing
• Knowledge of OSP construction methods (aerial and underground)
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Comfortable working at heights using aerial lifts or bucket trucks
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills

Nice To Haves

• Telecommunications experience
• Construction management knowledge

Responsibilities

• Install: String and secure new fiber optic cables on poles, ensuring proper tension and support.
• Maintain & Repair: Inspect for wear and tear, re-tension cables, and repair damaged lines to prevent service interruptions.
• Splice & Terminate: Join new cable sections and connect lines to service points using specialized tools and techniques.
• Test: Verify signal integrity, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Stay Safe: Follow strict safety protocols while working outdoors and at heights.
