About The Position

The OSP Engineer (Fiber Optic Redlining) role involves supporting a service provider in building fiber optic pathways. This engineer will be part of a permitting team responsible for redlining new designs and obtaining approvals for various projects in the metro area. The position requires expertise in engineering and splicing related to fiber plant construction, as well as supporting plant maintenance and repair as the project transitions to plant operations.

Requirements

• Experience in Outside Plant (OSP) engineering and design.
• Knowledge of telecommunications and construction related to fiber optics.
• Proficiency in GIS systems, particularly ESRI.
• High energy and outgoing personality.

Responsibilities

• Support the construction of the fiber network from an engineering and splicing perspective.
• Participate in the permitting process and redlining for new designs.
• Assist in obtaining approvals for various projects in the metro area.
• Support plant maintenance and repair as the project is turned over to plant operations.
