We are currently seeking a skilled OSP Directional Drill Locator to join our team in New Mexico. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and safety of our horizontal directional drilling (HDD) operations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with drill locating equipment, demonstrating a strong ability to read and interpret plans, maps, and utility layouts, while ensuring effective communication with drill operators and laborers on site.   • Operate locating equipment to analyze and determine drill paths.
  • Collaborate closely with drill operators to communicate drill plans and adjustments.
  • Identify underground utilities and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Read and interpret project plans and utility maps accurately.
  • Conduct site assessments to ensure the accuracy of drilling operations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of the drilling process and results.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers and team members throughout the project.
  • 2+ years of experience as a directional drill locator or similar position.
  • Proficient in utilizing drilling and locating equipment (e.g., Vermeer, Ditch Witch).
  • Strong understanding of underground utility installation principles and practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret utility maps, prints, and bore plans.
  • Commitment to safety and quality assurance in all work.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and outdoor environments.
  • Valid driver's license is required; CDL is a plus but not mandatory.
