About the position

The position involves monitoring open source social media and Publicly Available Information (PAI) in accordance with established monitoring priorities. The selected candidate will perform cursory, initial triage of content to eliminate information that is from sources known to be provocative, parodic, or similar. This role requires maintaining an internal database of sites and users known to be valuable, reliable, unreliable, or parodic. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for creating cursory, standardized reports to provide to the analytical team for further analysis. The ideal candidate will have the ability to conduct independent analysis in support of mission requirements and will understand and use enhanced search procedures and tools in support of exploiting Publicly Available Information (PAI). They should be capable of independently applying OSINT tactics, techniques, and procedures to OSINT analysis and producing Open Source Intelligence Reports (OSIRs). Furthermore, the candidate will assist Junior OSINT practitioners in the furtherance of initial analysis and provide feedback and recommendations on tools used in conjunction with OSINT exploitation. Responsibilities

  • Monitor open source social media and Publicly Available Information (PAI) according to established priorities.
  • Perform cursory, initial triage of content to eliminate unreliable information.
  • Maintain an internal database of valuable, reliable, unreliable, or parodic sites and users.
  • Create cursory, standardized reports for the analytical team.
  • Conduct independent analysis in support of mission requirements.
  • Utilize enhanced search procedures and tools for exploiting PAI.
  • Apply OSINT tactics, techniques, and procedures to produce OSINT analysis and reports.
  • Assist Junior OSINT practitioners with initial analysis.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations on OSINT tools.

Requirements

  • Over 10 years of experience in OSINT analysis and monitoring.
  • MA/MS degree required; additional experience may substitute for degree.
  • TS/SCI clearance required.
  • Ability to conduct independent analysis in support of mission requirements.
  • Understanding of enhanced search procedures and tools for PAI exploitation.
  • Experience in applying OSINT tactics, techniques, and procedures.
