About The Position
The Certified Orthotist / Prosthetist will work directly with Physicians, therapists, and all health and allied health professionals to design, measure, fit and provide follow up care for patients referred for care. He or she must be self-directed, able to multi-task, pay close attention to detail, and have excellent interpersonal / customer service skills.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics
- Licensed by the Arkansas Board for Orthotics and Prosthetics
- ABCOP or BOC Certification for Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics
- Three (3) or more years of work experience with Durable Medical Equipment
- Complete understanding of diagnoses, orthotic prescription, measurement, fitting and follow up of all types of orthotic devices
- Excellent communication skills
- Highly organized
- Self-directed
- Able to multi-task
- Pay close attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal / customer service skills
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree
- Knowledge of prefabricated orthotics
