Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred in Orthoptics.
  • Certified Orthoptist.
  • Graduate from an accredited Orthoptic Program.
  • Completion of Orthoptics Fellowship training preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ophthalmic equipment and technologies.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute in the detection, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with disorders of the visual system and/or eye motility.
  • Work independently within their scope of practice.
  • Collaborate with other members of the health care team including physicians, learners, technicians, technologists, and administrative staff.
  • Support and evaluate the patient population of the new neuro-ophthalmologist.
