Opportunity Details: Provide inpatient/outpatient surgical and non-surgical care Perform surgery on complex orthopedic trauma cases: Pelvic fractures, long bone and intra-articular fractures, upper/lower extremity trauma Serve as Orthopedic Trauma Service Chief and liaison to multi-disciplinary trauma committee Participate in: Emergency call schedule (24/7 coverage per ACS Level 1 Trauma standards) ACS trauma activities (data collection, compliance, trauma meetings) Quality programs (required by hospital and American College of Surgeons) Conduct critical review of orthopedic consultations from Emergency Department and inpatient units Lead and mentor orthopedic surgery residents, medical students, physician assistants, and other staff

Requirements

Board Eligible/Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
Fellowship-trained in Orthopedic Trauma
New York State Physician License
Advanced expertise in Pelvic/intra-articular fractures, osteomyelitis, bone defect, limb lengthening, non-unions, and other complex pathologies

Responsibilities

Benefits

Annual Base Salary: $519,000 based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours. The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $632,000 , which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:
Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $78,000.
401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits): Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required. After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
