About The Position

An Orthopedic Surgeon is a highly specialized physician responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing conditions and injuries of the musculoskeletal system—including bones, muscles, joints, tendons, and ligaments. While skilled in surgical techniques, the orthopedic surgeon also employs nonsurgical treatment methods when appropriate. This role combines clinical expertise with compassionate care to improve mobility and quality of life for patients. H-1B and J1 visa sponsorship available.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Physical Sciences, or related field (required)
  • Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school (required)
  • Completion of 4–7 years of internship and residency in orthopedic surgery (required)
  • Successful completion of the USMLE or COMLEX-USA
  • Board Certification by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery or equivalent (required)
  • Valid and active state medical license (required)
  • DEA registration to prescribe controlled substances (required)
  • Fluoroscopy Supervisor and Operator Permit (required for applicable procedures)
  • Minimum 3 years of independent practice preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency in a broad range of orthopedic procedures
  • Familiarity with inpatient and outpatient orthopedic care settings
  • Exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Outstanding diagnostic and surgical skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Detail-oriented with excellent time management
  • Patient-centered approach with a calm and reassuring bedside manner
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Proficient in EHR systems, imaging software, and surgical planning tools

Nice To Haves

  • Subspecialty certification (e.g., sports medicine, trauma, pediatrics) is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed evaluations of patients presenting with musculoskeletal issues
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions, including fractures, joint disorders, tendon and ligament injuries, and congenital musculoskeletal abnormalities
  • Develop customized treatment plans, including surgical and non-surgical options
  • Conduct surgical procedures such as joint replacements, fracture repairs, tendon reconstructions, and arthroscopies
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including radiologists, anesthesiologists, physical therapists, and other specialists
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation, including test results and surgical notes
  • Prescribe medications, physical therapy, and post-operative care instructions
  • Monitor patient progress during recovery and revise treatment plans as necessary
  • Participate in on-call rotation and hospital rounds in accordance with facility protocols
  • Engage in continuous education and research to stay current with medical advancements
  • Comply with regulatory and ethical standards for surgical practice and patient care
