About The Position

As an Orthopedic Physician Assistant, you will be an integral part of our healthcare team, working alongside our orthopedic surgeons to provide exceptional care to our patients. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal conditions, as well as assisting in surgeries and providing post-operative care. Full-time (1.0 FTE) services will be provided primarily at St. Croix Falls, and may occasionally see patients in our other clinics.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies
• Wisconsin Physician Assistant License
• Certified by the NCCPA
• Current BLS Card (American Heart Association or American Red Cross for Providers)
• Experience in orthopedics preferred
• Knowledge of orthopedic surgical procedures and post-operative care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical exams and patient assessments
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as X-rays and MRIs
• Develop treatment plans and prescribe medications
• Assist in orthopedic surgeries, including pre-operative and post-operative care
• Educate patients on their conditions and treatment options
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
