About The Position

Orthopedic and Hand Surgeon for Brighton, CO. Our Ortho team at Platte Valley Medical Center consists of 1 total joint surgeon, 1 Sports Medicine Surgeon, 3 Podiatrists, and 4 Advanced Practitioners. We are seeking a hand/upper extremity surgeon who will also be able to do general ortho call. Here are some highlights you can expect: Very busy Ortho practice and the qualified candidate would be walking into an existing panel, 1 to 1 Medical Assistant and your own surgical Advanced Practitioner, 50/50 Clinic vs OR time, with blocked OR time, Full x-ray in clinic and MRI in the same building, Growing program is expected to have a 2nd Sports Medicine/Ortho Surgeon in the new year which will make the call 1:4.

Requirements

• MD or DO education.
• Fellowship trained in Hand Surgery.
• Board Certified or Eligible by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery with subspecialty in Hand/Upper extremity.
• Unrestricted license in Colorado, or able to obtain.
• 1 year of practice experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform hand and upper extremity surgeries.
• Participate in general orthopedic call.
• Manage a busy orthopedic practice with an existing patient panel.
• Collaborate with a medical assistant and surgical advanced practitioner.
• Utilize clinic facilities including x-ray and MRI.
