About The Position

IU Health Southern Indiana Physicians, part of the largest and most comprehensive healthcare system in Indiana, is seeking an Orthopedic Hand Surgeon to join their growing team in Bloomington, IN. This surgeon will perform the majority of their surgeries at our outpatient surgical center, which is newly remodeled and highly efficient. The center is located in a premier location for performing surgeries. In December 2021, IU Health Southern Indiana Physicians opened the IU Health Bloomington Hospital on the new Indiana University Regional Academic Health Center campus, designed to improve healthcare in South Central Indiana. The facility, costing $557 million, aims to help make Indiana one of the healthiest states in the nation.

Requirements

• Board Eligible/Board Certified in Orthopedics.
• Fellowship trained in Hand Surgery.

Responsibilities

• Perform surgeries at the outpatient surgical center.
• Conduct clinic visits two days a week.
• Perform surgeries two days a week.
• Participate in a call schedule of one week every nine weeks, plus night call 2-3 times a month.
• Handle procedures including fracture/trauma and elective upper extremity cases.
